Job Description:

The project administrator plays a key role in the effective operation of the City Transport department. You will be contributing to the delivery of some of the key strategic major projects. With the opportunity to initiate and progress new projects within Councils project management framework, integrating key organisational planning requirements.

You will also support the department through the management of contracts, including purchasing and procurement. Additionally, managing the provision of responses to queries from councillors, council officers and the community

Job Responsibilities:

  • Efficient, effective and confidential support to the City Transport Department.
  • Contribute to the effective management of projects, procurement, and communications
  • Attend key meetings with state departments and other stakeholders, recording and tracking key deliverables
  • Review administrative processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working in personal administrative support to key management positions
  • Strong proven communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate cooperation amongst teams, supporting collaboration across the department
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft office, being able to create, format and edit complex word and -excel documents
  • Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline or significant experience in similar roles
  • A positive, curious and flexible mind
