Job Description:

The Venue Operations Coordinator, Bondi Pavilion manages a small team of staff to ensure effective delivery of the day-to-day venue operations and facilities management functions of Bondi Pavilion. The role facilitates the use of the building by a wide range of groups and ensures the venues are well utilised, safe and welcoming for all users

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the venue booking service through Council’s booking and event management
    platform, ensuring the system is effectively utilised to efficiently administer events and activities.
  • Develop and implement procedures for effective administration of the venue including booking agreements and procedures, opening and lockdown procedures, invoicing and
  • payments, and risk assessments.
  • Develop and lead a high performing team of venue staff to support the effective daily operation of Bondi Pavilion from opening to closing each day, seven days a week, and other
  • Council venues as required.
  • Monitor the annual operational budget ensuring expenditure is within agreed limits.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of customer service excellence within the venues team, fostering positive working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the facilities management function of daily operations including deliveries, cleaning, waste management and security to ensure the Operational Plan of Management for the building is adhered to.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with representatives of commercial tenants within the building to ensure their operations do not impact or conflict with other building users and the terms of their leases are met.

Job Requirements:

  • Appropriate tertiary or other qualifications or equivalent experience in venue management, facilities management or project management related fields
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in venue operations and the coordination of related administrative processes across venue hire, maintenance, compliance and safety
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service orientation
  • A positive and collaborate working style
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
