Job Description:

As an Assistant Manager you will ensure all administrative obligations are met and necessary resourcing is available, managing your team and understanding the capabilities of your staff, working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to ensure a positive client and provider outcome. You will be accountable for analysing and responding to management on team workloads and performances. Prepare Ministerial responses, complaints and general requests whilst managing complex and urgent request.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Foster positive relationships and negotiate with clients and providers in more complex matters.
  • Resolve escalated client and provider issues and refer these to appropriate service channels when necessary.
  • Provide specific program, service or policy information to clients and providers.
  • Prepare correspondence including emails and letters on routine and more complex matters.
  • Provide a first point of contact for clients and providers.
  • Oversee the use of the various systems available to Client Service Officers.
  • Provide advice on moderately complex enquiries and claims from clients or their representatives and provide information and advice as a representative of the work area.
  • Provide support and on the job training and coaching where necessary to enable the APS3 staff to be effective in their job roles.
  • Provide input for Ministerial Correspondence, requests for information and other inputs as required.
  • Provide support to the leadership group as required
