Job Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the provision of expert strategic project management, town planning and infrastructure design advice to help drive the Council’s Major Project’s initiatives. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders including economists, planners, sustainability and social inclusion experts you will champion the development and delivery of key strategic projects. This is a role that will suit someone who enjoys leading a small team to project manage the concept development and design and develop the value proposition of strategic projects. This is also an opportunity to use your committment to community to champion Council’s major projects.

Job Requirements:

Our ideal candidate will have Tertiary qualifications in engineering, town planning or related field, and/or relevant equivalent experience and a Diploma of Project Management with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in delivering significant infrastructure projects. You will have strong leadership skills with a proven track record in providing strategic advice/guidance and effective leadership and direction to teams and stakeholders and high level skills and experience in communication, negotiation, problem solving, risk management, influencing and relationship building. Your success in engaging with the community and stakeholders in the design and delivery of key projects will be clearly demonstrated. Your extensive experience in the procurement and management of complex, large scale contracts associated with major infrastructure projects are a must.
