Job Description:

This position is a full time, fixed term contract for a duration of 12 months working Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm and will be based at the Bomaderry Office (POSM Building).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain various asset registers and GIS mapping for Council assets including but not limited to road infrastructure, bridges, stormwater drainage, open spaces and natural areas.
  • Provide support and advice to the Assets team on matters relating to Council Assets.

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret or understand, survey plans or engineering plans, or abilities to comprehend and process field collected data.
  • Proven communication skills, fully in both verbal and in written form, in a complete and concise manner
  • Diploma in Spatial Information Services or equivalent survey, engineering, or asset management qualification
  • Strong demonstrated experience in computer Database Administration or Geographic Information Systems or similar.
  • Demonstrated competency in the use of spreadsheets, databases, asset registers, or asset mapping software – preferably ‘Esri’ GIS systems
  • Knowledge or awareness in asset registers in a local government context – preferably awareness of ‘One Council’ and ‘Technology One’ asset management systems.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to plan and complete tasks to meet project milestones
