Job Description:
An experienced engineer or project manager who possesses a ‘can do’ attitude. You will be able to demonstrate practical ‘on the ground’ experience in the management of contractors and consultants with sound project management skills and experience to ensure delivery outcomes are achieved for our community. You will have a sound understanding of civil works pertaining to roads and drainage and a working knowledge of a wide variety of civil engineering construction methodologies. You are able to demonstrate experience and/or knowledge of the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) guidelines and claims process. In this role your expertise in contract management will see you excel. You have a safety-first focus and are able to effectively promote a safety culture through leading by example. You understand the needs of the community and are passionate about delivering an exceptional service to all stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
- Submit all claims and documentation associated with the DRFA program to Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) and any other government departments as required and in a timely manner to ensure cash flow is sustained.
- Administer the DRFA for roads and drainage infrastructure reconstruction and repair in accordance with the NSW Natural Disaster Essential Public Asset Restoration Guidelines and the -Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements 2018 (Australian Government).
- Prepare scopes of work for all Immediate Reconstruction and Essential Public Asset Reconstruction works.
- Administer the Recover program/software and ensure that all assets are inspected and their condition is recorded prior to any works commencing.
- Produce tenders, procurement documentation and packages of work for DRFA projects.
- Project manage the delivery of DRFA reconstruction/repair projects including the program of works
Job Requirements:
- Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering or Project Management or equivalent competency and experience to perform the duties of the position
- General Construction Induction (WHS White Card)
- Current Class C Driver Licence
