Job Description:
The position will be required to manage multiple complex capital works projects that include management of both internal & external stakeholders, consultants and contractors.
As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to manage and deliver a large range of stormwater infrastructure upgrade projects. Some of the projects you will be managing may include design and delivery of major ocean outfall upgrades on Newport Beach and Mona Vale Beach, stormwater quality improvement device installation on Collaroy Beach and Freshwater Beach. As well as various flood mitigation works and trunk drainage upgrades.
Job Responsibilities:
- Undertaking inspections, investigations, risk assessments, modelling and scoping of projects using best practice methodologies and technologies;
- Managing projects from the design development phase through to completion of construction in alignment with Council’s objectives;
- Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget;
- Managing Work, Health & Safety matters, environmental and statutory matters of all works undertaken; and
- Assisting the Team Leader in providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
