Job Description:
The Finance and Procurement section is responsible for the provision of high quality, timely and accurate financial and procurement advice and services to the National Archives while ensuring it meets its legislative and compliance financial framework obligations
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and maintain lists of all fixed and portable and attractive assets, including but not limited to updating NAA’s asset registers and systems with financial information, such as acquisitions, disposals and revaluations.
- Assist the senior financial accountant in the delivery of core functions of the financial accounting section. Activities include, but not limited to financial statements preparation, FBT
and BAS returns, accruals and reconciliations. - Provide high level, accurate, timely and consistent advice and support to internal stakeholders on financial performance, accounting standards and procurement policy.
- Develop and maintain effective, professional relationships with relevant internal and external
stakeholders, to identify and improve business processes and procedures. - Provide support to the Chief Financial Officer on strategic initiatives and analytical activities
- Apply the principles of APS Values, Code of Conduct, workplace diversity, work health and
safety and participative management within a work and team environment.
