Job Description:
We are seeking someone who has well developed influencing skills and the ability to negotiate moderately complex infrastructure and other commercial agreements.
You will have considerable knowledge and experience in the delivery of planning assessment and compliance services. You will have knowledge of the principles and practices relating to planning, design, and construction of park infrastructure and landscaping works.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist advice to Council or its delegate on low to moderate complexity development matters relating to the planning design and construction of park infrastructure and landscaping works
- Undertake the assessment of low to moderate complexity development applications in line with legislative, policy and business requirement
- Provide specialist technical advice and input into the development assessment process and the recovery of the cost of infrastructure, including the negotiation of basic infrastructure agreements
- Prepare recommendations for review and decision as required and contribute to a positive team environment in order to achieve a high performance, continuous improvement and customer focused culture
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of the State Planning Policy, the SEQ Regional Plan, the Planning scheme, and the Adopted Infrastructure Charge Resolution
- Experience in applying relevant planning and development legislation and policy
- Strong communication skills to meet the needs of a range of internal and external stakeholders with the ability to work in a positive team environment communicating and engaging effectively at all levels.
