Job Description:

NHMRC is seeking an experienced and high performing individual to contribute to the People, Property and Security Section. The primary role of the Property and Facilities Officer includes assisting with the day-to-day facility operations of the Canberra and Melbourne offices and working closely with the Senior Property, Facilities and Emergency Management Officer to support accommodation requirements, facilities management and office services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the management of accommodation, environmental and emergency evacuation policies and procedures (including Government reporting)
  • Support the management of day-to-day facility operations for the Canberra and Melbourne offices (including the Whole-of-Australian-Government Property Services Coordinated Procurement (PSCP) arrangements
  • Assist with management of COVIDSafe workplace requirements
  • Assist with reception and associated office services (including meeting rooms, stationery, minor procurement, mail room etc.); and
  • Assist with financial responsibilities (invoicing, accruals, monitoring etc.).
