Job Description:
This position requires you to have a balance of experience, technical expertise and leadership capabilities. You are a proactive thinker and able to analyse information to make well-informed decisions. You have excellent interpersonal skills to answer and respond to complex questions about infrastructure planning and charging.
Job Responsibilities:
- Check and sign-off on Infrastructure Charge Notices (ICN’s)
- Coordinate the development and maintenance of registers to accurately record and track offsets and charges
- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement of Council’s Infrastructure Charges Resolution and Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP)
- Develop the team’s ability to shape and drive financial modelling and analysis activities
Job Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Town Planning or Engineering, and a sound understanding of planning legislation (essential)
- Eligibility for corporate membership of the Planning Institute of Australia
- Demonstrated understanding of the legal requirements to calculate infrastructure charges and to review Council’s Infrastructure Charges Resolution and LGIP
- Demonstrated communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Current ‘C’ class driver’s licence
