Job Responsibilities:

  • Implementing new technologies that meet the needs of library users and staff
  • The library management system (Symphony) and associated technology
  • Curating and managing content on the Libraries Victoria app
  • Updating and maintenance of the library’s online catalogue (Enterprise)
  • Other databases and customer-facing applications
  • Provision of membership data, and analysis of membership trends, for operational, strategic and reporting purposes

Job Requirements:

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills to lead as a specialist in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, agencies and customers.
  • Tertiary qualifications or significant relevant experience with library management systems, other multi organisational management systems and emerging technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage projects and resources on time and to budget.
  • Highly developed analytical and business systems data management, recommendations, and reporting
  • The ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated business acumen to work with a broad range of computer-based systems and emerging technologies.
