Part of the Financial Services team, and working closely with the CEO and Council, this role is primarily responsible for producing, maintaining, monitoring and administering the Council’s Long Term Financial Plan and alignment with the annual budget
Job Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting
- Highly developed knowledge of Accounting Standards and associated concepts
- At least 5 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role (preferably in local government), with considerable skill and understanding of strategic financial planning, financial analysis and budgeting
- Highly developed computer skills, with considerable experience in accounting software and financial modelling using Excel
- Highly developed analytical and numerical skills
- Highly developed time management and organisational skills
- Well-developed presentation and communication skills
