Job Description:
We’ve got a great opportunity for an individual who will be responsible for assessing the rehabilitation needs of injured employees immediately following an injury and facilitating earliest possible return to work.The successful candidate will be required to develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation and return to work plans, liaise with medical/treating practitioners, service providers, workplace managers and claims officers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assess an injured employee’s capability to undertake a rehabilitation program
- Design, develop and manage return to work programs tailored to an individual’s rehabilitation needs, including monitoring approved sub-contracted services considered necessary
- Provide professional advice as required for occupational rehabilitation, injury management and prevention, including participation in case conferences and reviews of complex claims
- Assist with preventative injury management strategies for employees and the workplace
- Conduct training sessions on occupational rehabilitation, policy and procedures
