Job Description:

As a People Manager in the Pay and Entitlements Section, you will be responsible for the management of a team. You will provide leadership, guidance, training, expert advice and support to team members and ensure the team carries out tasks in accordance with relevant legislation, guidelines and procedures. You will be able to work autonomously and as part of a team, and you will utilise your skills and experience to manage the pressure of competing priorities within a fast-paced environment. We pride ourselves on the high quality, timely and professional service and support we provide to all ABS employees.

Job Requirements:

  • High level proficiency in a range of computer-based applications including, for example, Microsoft Office programs and human resources systems, and the ability to apply these to process and system improvements
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies and work plans
  • Experience in successfully leading a high performing team within a service delivery area
  • Proven ability to drive change, whilst managing risk, within a challenging working environment of people, processes and technology
  • Ability to present messages in a clear and concise manner using appropriate and unambiguous language
  • An ability to engage key stakeholders and make customer centric decisions for complex issues
  • Understanding of and ability to comply with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
