Job Description:

We are seeking a well-connected Producer who is a focused communicator, to produce programs for ABC Northern Tasmania, creating content across multiple platforms to engage local and national audiences. You’re a natural relationship builder and collaborator and can cross promote other ABC content to increase audience engagement.

Job Responsibilities:

Contribute to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan and communicate with relevant stakeholders as required.
Provide in-studio production support and manage talk-back callers and guests.
Contribute to planning and commissioning processes to develop and distribute new content ideas to achieve strong reach and engagement with audiences.
Create local content that can be shared with other content teams across the ABC.

Job Requirements:

Strong connections to the area and the community.
Strong program making skills with a proven ability to develop and make original and engaging audio and cross-platform content for target audience.
Accomplished editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise sound judgement.
