Job Description:
As Spatial Analytics Manager you will be part of the City Design Branch and will be responsible for supervising the Spatial Analytics team. Your main focus will be providing leadership to a team and overseeing geographic information, system analytics and services for the City Design Branch and the Planning and Regulatory Services Department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the graphic design, illustrative and photographic material for the Planning and Regulatory Services Department publishing requirements
- Ensuring that all spatial and relevant computer modelling information for the Planning and Regulatory Services Department is accurate and appropriately recorded, maintained, updated and secured
- Strategic innovation using existing and newly available software systems
- Mapping and spatial analytics for the new Ipswich Planning Scheme, Local Government Infrastructure Plan
- Provision of senior specialist GIS advice and spatial data analysis relating to city planning issues, strategic planning, statutory planning, cultural heritage and other related projects
- Research, spatial analysis, 3D modelling and population modelling
Job Requirements:
- An excellent fit with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership
- Extensive experience working with Mapinfo, FME, ArcGIS Professional and ArcGIS Online
- Tertiary qualifications in GIS/Spatial or equivalent relevant experience
- Five or more years’ experience working in a senior analytical/technical role
- Experience supervising staff
- The ability to effectively communicate with people from wide range of professional disciplines
