Job Description:

This role will work with Service Centre Manager and Incident Manager to delivery operational governance and service management activities, that are always customer centric. This position has a split focus, driving problem management activities and supporting the transition of services into support. The job incumbent will be expected to manage the IT problem management process and track problems through to resolution. They will need to coordinate and direct all facets of the problem management effort, including bringing the right teams, tools, and information together. The problem manager may also delegate subtasks to other team members. The Problem Manger will oversee evolution and development of the process, as well as team member training and onboarding.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive, develop, manage and maintain the problem process and associated procedures
  • Lead specialist technology resources managing investigation resolution of identified problems or potential problems and service improvement activities following PIR
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness of the problem management process
  • Produce management information, including KPIs and reports

Job Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and Applications
  • Good working knowledge of Service Catalogues, reporting tools, systems and metrics
  • Experience in process improvements and automation, designing and implementing improvements to a service centre would be an advantage
  • Ability to prioritise issues and understand the related impacts
