Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:
- Continuous improvement of existing legislative and policy frameworks, and design of new programs and policies
- Oversight of the Fuel Security Framework and related regulatory functions, working to establish best practice evaluation, reporting, and regulatory frameworks
- The ability to provide policy advice to government on Australia’s domestic fuel security in the context of changing global and domestic energy markets
- Administration of the Fuel Security Act 2021 and the Fuel Quality Standards Act, including outreach and education, assessments, and compliance, audits and monitoring
- Analysis of petroleum and other fuels reporting datasets with a variety of tools to identify trends and insights to support data driven decision making and regulation
Qualification & Experience:
- Experience managing and administering regulatory schemes, including administrative decision-making or compliance functions
- Experience establishing regulatory governance frameworks, including evaluation, audit and reporting
- Experience managing data and reporting teams, including in regulatory contexts, and translating data and analysis into advice to policy and decision makers
