Job Description:

Public Affairs Officers undertake tasks of complexity and work under general direction and as part of a team to assist with designing, developing, implementing and evaluating media and communication activities, services and materials. They provide general advice to stakeholders, including journalists and the public, and may also assist with research, event management and project management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate input for strategic communication and media advice to key stakeholders
  • Write, review and produce high quality communication materials for internal and external audiences
  • Manage and seeking advice for media enquiry responses, and liaise with policy and operational areas
  • Contribute to creative and effective strategic communication solutions, and track the progress of your work in a high pressure and fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate broadly to develop creative communication products, including web content, video, digital and print products
  • Exercise your professional judgement to respond to complex operational issues
  • Participate in the our of hours media on-call roster with supervision.
