Job Description:
Join one of the world’s leading grains research organisations to assist the Head of Communications to develop and deliver high quality multi-channel communication content, work alongside the GRDC Publications Manager to co-ordinate and deliver content for GRDC’s extensive range of publications showcasing and extending research, development and extension to the Australian grains industry.
Job Responsibilities:
- In partnership with the GRDC Publications Manager, lead the co-ordination and development of content for GRDC publications associated with key research, development and extension investments.
- Provide strategic communications advice on GRDC event management including panel tours, updates and industry events.
- Provide professional communications support to GRDC staff.
- Develop specific communication strategies as requested for internal business groups, strategic research partnerships and other significant initiatives.
- Develop and co-ordinate high-quality corporate and extension communications including media releases, feature articles, social media posts, newsletters, video, audio etc.
- In partnership with the GRDC Publications Manager, lead the co-ordination and development of key content for GRDC’s flagship magazine and online website GroundCover.
- Ensure communications plans and outputs are measured and evaluated with particular attention to impact for grain growers and other relevant stakeholders.
- Liaise and regularly engage with GRDC staff across all business groups to facilitate the development and delivery of communications plans and outputs under the investment management framework.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with media (rural, regional, state and national), GRDC Regional Panel members, research partners and industry organisations.
- Build and sustain positive working relationships with team members, GRDC staff and stakeholders.
- Support corporate brand and attribution management.
- Other duties as required from time to time.

Qualification & Experience:
- Experience with developing and delivering multi-channel communication.
- Experience in publications
- Demonstrated 5+ years’ experience in a similar communications role.
