Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to creative strategy and effective communications for the organisation
  • Managing timelines and workflows to meet deadlines, budget restraints and maintain accurate job records
  • Working independently, or as part of a team, to deliver design and typesetting services
  • Coordination of print and merchandise products (Band 4)
  • Working collaboratively with communications practitioners, internal stakeholders and external suppliers to fulfil a design vision
  • Designing and producing creative publications, templates, merchandise, infographics, and other graphics for printed and digital distribution
  • Providing high quality products to the organisation which meet the brand identity guidelines
  • Providing guidance and advice to key stakeholders on visual design, branding and accessibility (Band 5)
  • Quality assuring outgoing design work (Band 5)

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to perform quickly and effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to be flexible and dynamic in response to changing priorities.
  • Ability to innovate and problem solve.
  • You must be an Australian Citizen.
  • Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) – A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one
  • Communications, Design or Graphic Design tertiary qualifications and/or at least three years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe CS suite (including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat) and any other industry standard software.
  • Excellent communication, client and organisational skills.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
