Job Description:

Directors in the Division are expected to exercise high levels of initiative, judgement and leadership. They may be required to provide high level advice on complex cases to senior stakeholders, manage and prioritise large volumes of work, contribute to process improvements and support divisional governance. In addition, directors are responsible for managing and developing their team members.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a high level of autonomy in complex decision-making and responsiveness, including the ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion, and work quickly and independently to problem solve and resolve sensitive issues
  • Effectively forward plan and manage multiple priorities to achieve outcomes within tight or competing deadlines and with sound budget management
  • Demonstrate leadership attributes to successfully manage a large team to deliver outcomes in a high profile work environment, with a focus on developing and supporting staff
  • Apply critical thinking skills to program delivery and strategic issues, including developing advice and delivering briefings on a range of complex issues
  • Demonstrate superior written and oral communication skills and high level stakeholder management skills
  • Exemplify a high level of resilience and personal integrity, be a team player, and collaborate with stakeholders to tackle complex problems
  • Identify risk and opportunities, and encourage innovative thinking in developing and implementing controls to mitigate risk.
