Job Description:
The Researcher will work under guidance in a small team to make substantial contributions to submarine sonar performance evaluation and modelling that delivers a capability edge to the Royal Australian Navy submarine fleet. This includes: the development of high fidelity passive acoustic models customised to RAN submarine operations; understanding and maximising sonar system performance; sonar system performance evaluation; physical modelling of acoustic interaction with sensor and hull structures; submarine capability analysis input; and exploitation of the underwater acoustic environment.
