Job Description:

Council’s Finance team are looking for an experienced person to join them in the role of Procurement Compliance and Supplier Analyst. This role is responsible for providing procurement and analytical expertise, including undertaking research, cost modelling and analytical support services, to inform procurement and category management, decision-making and strategy.

Job Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in purchasing and supply in a multi discipline organisation in the public sector
  • Ability to develop robust, detailed spend models using data from a variety of sources, providing insight into supply markets and internal demand analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage stakeholders and develop procurement strategies based on sound knowledge of business needs and supply markets
  • Ability to research and provide competitive procurement options to deal with limited supply of products and services
  • Ability to assess cost levers/drivers which exist within a category/product to optimise specification/service levels
  • Computer literacy in MS Office suite of products, with intermediate excel skills
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work productively as a member of a team and contribute to team goals.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Relevant qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain or extensive experience in undertaking such a role
  • Experience in identifying areas of non-compliance to procurement policy and raise with relevant stakeholders
