Job Description:

The Field Operator (Roller) position offers you the chance to operate this plant throughout the Clarence Valley on its expansive road network in an organisation that values you and is willing to invest in your skills and experience. The role requires that your equipment is kept in good condition and operational at all times and will require you to help out with other duties such as labouring and traffic control from time to time.

We are looking for people with experience in the operation of Rollers and other plant in road maintenance activities who are also willing to learn new skills and have an enthusiastic attitude.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operation of a roller to Council standards
  • Operation of other designated items of plant within the operators capabilities and certification
  • Operation of a truck to Council standards
  • Undertaking general maintenance activities within the Council area
  • Undertaking construction activities within the Council area
  • Undertaking traffic control duties

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated literacy and numeracy skills
    A general knowledge of road and drainage maintenance and construction activities
  • Communication skills including the ability to liaise with the public
    Ability to follow instructions
