Job Description:

This position provides technical procurement support, fleet management and mechanical repair services which include the development and implementation of long term plant replacement programs, weekly mechanical and servicing tactical plans, contract management, procurement functions and management of suppliers of services and materials related to fleet services, Local Government essential services and depot management.

Job Requirements:

  • demonstrated experience in the provision of fleet management services including the supervision of heavy duty diesel mechanics
  • management of services provided by heavy plant suppliers and their support service providers
  • experience in the use of industry recognised fleet management software, finance systems and MS Office software in the WA Local Government sector
  • extensive knowledge of best practice Fleet Management services and asset replacement programming in the Local Government sector is essential
  • Extensive procurement and contract management experience for Local Government essential service
