Job Description:

The Cleaner reports directly to the Operations Coordinator and is responsible for ensuring the centre is maintained in a clean, presentable and safe condition

Job Responsibilities:

  • To provide a clean and hygienic environment for patrons and staff – in line with facility usage demands, cleaning protocols and cleaning schedules.
  • To ensure cleaning chemicals are handled and stored safely and adequate levels are maintained.
  • Ensure attention to detail in relation to cleaning within the facility.
  • Meet performance standards in relation to the cleaning of the facility and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Punctual and reliable attendance to all rostered shifts.
  • To respond to any immediate facility cleaning needs as they arise
  • Cooperate and comply with the requirements of all Maroondah City Council policies and procedures and any actions taken by Council to comply with relevant Acts and Regulations

Job Requirements:

  • The undertaking of semi-skilled work
  • Assistance to skilled employees
  • Provision of environmental/household maintenance and personal assistance
  • The position may require basic oral communication skills and where appropriate written skills, with clients, members of the public and other employees

Qualification & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in industrial/commercial cleaning.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Customer Service environment
  • Demonstrated experience in industrial/commercial cleaning.
