Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual interested in career in Civil Construction with a focus on road infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity to learn all aspects of road building and construction, bridge structures, streetscaping and more.
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrate effective communication skills both oral and written.
- The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Demonstrated ability to perform a range of general labouring and maintenance duties.
- Year 10 Higher School Certificate or equivalent.
- Behaviour that positively demonstrates council’s values: creative, accessible, respect, energetic, safe.
- Ability to work and interact effectively as a team member
- Enjoys working in physically demanding environments.
- Class C driver licence with the ability to operate a manual transmission (desirable but not essential).
- Whitecard.
- Presents a positive image of the council to the public
