Job Description:

We are looking for an appropriately qualified and experienced professional to join our Financial Services team. Reporting to the Manager Financial Services, the position of Revenue Accountant is responsible for providing a high level of assistance in the effective financial management of Council through overseeing Council’s rating and revenue functions and staff.

Job Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications at degree level in accounting, financial management or similar discipline.
  • Proven experience in accounting and reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated experience in staff supervision with the ability to manage and lead a team.
  • Demonstrated well developed communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to prepare reports.
  • Proven experience in the provision of quality customer service.
  • Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council’s values of: creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with experience in the use of various software and the Microsoft Officer suite, with a high level of competency using Excel.
