Reporting to the Head of Group Finance & Risk Management you will work autonomously to provide advice and support to the business and to deliver high quality and timely information to the Risk Committee and other stakeholders. This role will suit an individual who has experience in a Corporate Risk setting. We are seeking a highly motivated and capable individual who can demonstrate their ability to engage across the business and drive a proactive risk and continuity culture. Our ideal candidate will thrive on adding value through continuous improvement activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Risk Assessments and Business Continuity Exercise workshops.
  • Lead Corporate Risk Services across the organisation.
  • Maintain ASC’s Risk Appetite Statement and monitor risk performance metrics
  • Provide insight on risk areas and trends to the Risk Committee.
  • Conduct regular testing of Business Continuity scenarios and provide business recommendations on improvement of organisational resilience.
  • Undertake business impact analysis and maintain the Business Continuity Plan.
  • Deliver Board level and Executive reporting in line with Governance requirements.
  • Support Crisis Management Activities.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have corporate risk and business continuity experience in a large and complex environment
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and improvement of Risk and Business Continuity Policies and Frameworks and the ability to communicate framework requirements (e.g. in accordance with ISO 31000 Risk Management).
  • Formal Board and/Executive paper writing skills essential
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organisation as a business partner, in a constructive and collaborative way – contribute positively as an impactful leader.
  • Experience in a similar role 3+ years (Defence highly desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to develop and deliver training
