Job Description:
This opportunity operates within a performance-based environment, to provide inventory guidance and optimisation support to ASC Operations to enable planned and unplanned maintenance of the Collins Class Submarines (CCSM).
Job Responsibilities:
- Development of tactical plans tailored to internal/external customers’ needs, leveraging support from the business to achieve these goals
- Coordination with Procurement to ensure timely procurement activities in support of Operational Boat Support, URDEF and Emergent Work
- Review, optimisation and tracking of material movements to provide near real-time transparency to the Operations Team
- Execution of Inventory planning strategies
- Support to Root Cause Analysis of inventory errors and implementation of any findings that result
Job Requirements:
- Significant knowledge of inventory planning and management processes / systems
- Significant experience in the use of supply chain systems (ERP, materials requirements planning, inventory optimisation)
- Ability to conduct complex data mining and analytics tasks
- Able to simply communicate complex issues (written/verbally)
- Bachelor degree qualification or equivalent experience in supply chain / Inventory Management
- 5 years’ or more experience in supply chain (inventory management) roles in Defence, manufacturing, mining or heavy industry environment
- Eligibility for Australian Defence Security Clearance to Negative Vetting Level 1
- Proven ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Build and sustain relationships with a network of key people internally and externally
- Act professionally and impartially at all times and operate within the boundaries of organisational processes and legal and public policy constraints
