Job Description:

We are now looking for an Independent Verification (IV) Manager to join the Engineering, Assurance & Integration team.
Reporting to the Program Technical Services & Compliance Manager, the primary objective of the IV Manager is to liaise with Project and Third-Party Agreements and develop project or package specific scope for independent verification to ensure that Returned works Owner(s) receive the asset(s) that meet contractual obligation listed in third party agreements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Program Technical Services & Compliance Manager and Project/Delivery Director(s) on the physical and financial progress issues related to the project to ensure timely and accurate information is provided where necessary;
  • To lead a team of consultants and contractors to successfully achieve the coordination of multiple work teams to attain the project’s and the overall Inland Rail Program objectives;
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the project by conducting regular reviews of project milestones against actual indicators to resolve issues as they arise to mitigate any impact on project delivery;
  • Manage the administration of contracts to ensure prompt assessment of claims and finalisation of contract documentation; and,
  • Lead the preparation of request for quotation (RFQ), Contract documentation and submission to gain approvals at various management delegations to appoint independent verification contractors:
  • To implement ARTC’s Project Management Procedures for all aspects of the project life cycle.

Job Requirements:

  • Eligibility for AIPM RegPM or PMI PMP/PgMP/PfMP or ARTC agreed equivalent
  • Eligibility for membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia;
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an organised well-ordered manner;
  • Highly developed written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Highly developed problem resolution and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen
  • Drivers Licence – Class C

Qualification & Experience:

  • 5 Years of relevant experience
  • Project Management experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering or infrastructure environment, ideally rail;
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of railway environment with experience and knowledge of track possession windows and track occupancy planning;
  • Experience in the administration, management and delivery of asset maintenance in the form of major periodic maintenance and capital improvement projects;
