Job Description:

The Major Construction Projects division of ARTC is responsible for designing, constructing and commissioning all new major projects, excluding Inland Rail. These projects range from track and junction upgrades and capacity improvements through to construction of new railway lines.

Job Requirements:

  • Working knowledge and understanding of digital media and digital technologies to support community engagement.
  • High level verbal and written skills including the writing and delivery of strategies, plans and communications materials.
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders in politically sensitive environments.
  • Demonstrated creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a capacity to respond to and manage changing priorities.
  • High level skills in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite, social media platforms, and e-news design and distribution platforms.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (Journalism, Communications) and / or proven experience in public relations or corporate communication role.
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience.
  • Strong experience in stakeholder and community engagement ideally within the infrastructure, transport or logistic sectors.
