Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to contribute to two externally funded projects being undertaken by the Computational Biophysics Group of Professor Ben Corry at the Australian National University
Job Responsibilities:
- The structure and function of mechanically gated ion channels that are responsible for the sensations such as touch and pain as part of an ARC funded project with Australian Partners; and
- The mechanisms of action of novel RNA therapeutics for treating autoimmune disease by studying their interaction with a known receptor, a collaborative project with an industry partner.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to deliver high quality research output
- Experience in at least one and preferably several of the following areas:
- Conducting high-level molecular dynamics simulations
- Relevant qualifications in biology, chemistry, physics or a related field
- Programming/scripting and high performance computing
