Job Description:

The City of Albany is looking for someone with a passion for WHS to join our team. Our Health and Safety Officer / Advisor will support the organisation to achieve high safety standards, and comply with relevant legislation, ensuring the safety of our workers.

This role plays a pivotal role in integrating a compliant and consistent approach to WHS management across all City work sites by

Job Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert WHS advice, support, services, training and coaching
  • Ensuring all functional aspects of the business have appropriate WHS processes in place and can provide evidence of complianc

Job Requirements:

  • Capability to undertake risk assessments, manage incidents, undertake investigations and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement practical solutions across a range of industries
  • Proven ability to understand, apply and communicate WHS processes and requirements
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience in developing and delivering in-house presentations and training programs
  • Degree qualification in Work Health and Safety or a related field
  • ICAM or equivalent Incident Management Training Qualifications
  • Lead (Senior) Auditor Qualification
  • Experience leading WHS audits
  • General Construction Induction (Whitecard
