We are seeking someone with superior administrative, coordination and stakeholder management skills. The candidate should be able to implement tasks and workflows with a high degree of accuracy and establish evaluation measures to monitor a program of work.Our ideal candidate is someone who can operate independently and take responsibility for the outcomes of the position. This role is often required to respond to change and therefore the candidate should be able to identify potential issues and provide effective solutions.
- The ARC meets five times a year to consider the business operations and risks of the agency. The Secretariat does not require background in media and communications. An interest in governance processes at the agency level would suit the role.
- The Secretariat role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of support to the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) and internal audit program. The Secretariat is able to work independently and flexibly to ensure the outcomes of the position are met.
- The Secretariat is one of four in a small team with interesting and varied responsibilities. The opportunity to gain experience in other areas within the team is available between ARC meetings. The team often works together to progress new governance initiatives.
- Suitable candidates may be placed in a merit pool from this selection process and the pool may be used to fill similar ongoing or non-ongoing roles. Non-ongoing vacancies filled from a merit pool may be offered as a specified term. Applicants may have their application and assessment results shared with other Australian Public Service (APS) agencies looking to fill similar roles
