Job Description:

The role of CFO is to support ACLEI’s accountable authority, the Integrity Commissioner, to meet the organisation’s obligations under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act), and to provide oversight of the management of expenditure of approximately $30 million pa. The CFO is also responsible for delivering ACLEI’s property, facilities and security functions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement improved approaches to managing financial risk
  • design and implement financial controls, systems and policies across the agency, ensuring compliance with relevant Acts and policies
  • Liaise with counterparts across the APS to facilitate effective and innovative financial management practices, systems and models
  • Develop and implement the organisation’s financial strategy
  • Provide high level, expert advice and recommendations to the Integrity Commissioner and the Executive team on finance, procurement, property and security issues
  • Build the capability of ACLEI staff in using its financial information to inform decision-making
  • Participate as a member of the Internal Governance Board and the ICT Steering
    Committee
