The Director Operations will manage delivery of high-quality investigations for the ACIC and in conjunction with partner agencies. The ACIC’s specialist role in combating complex, national, organised crime makes investigations a critical function. The role is responsible for managing all stages of investigations within the ACIC Melbourne Office and sets the direction for the investigations team driving complex operational projects to discover, understand and respond to serious and organised crime threats to Australia.
- Has a high-level understanding of serious and organised crime threats to Australian interests, with extensive experience leading and conducting complex and sensitive investigations and operations.
- Utilises their sound judgement to problem solve during complex operations in order to deliver operational and outcomes.
- Takes a leadership role to lead, supervise, motivate and develop teams and individuals within a multi-disciplinary environment, drawing on their extensive leadership and people management skills.
- Has a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the ability to liaise, collaborate and negotiate to achieve desired outcomes.
