Job Description:

ABC News Analysis and Investigation is seeking to appoint a Newsgathering Producer to strategically drive the daily commissioning and management of impactful and distinctive content for all platforms, and set the daily agenda for the news team.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop a collaborative working relationship with national News teams
Work with the State Editor and newsroom leadership team to commission reporters and field operators
Anticipate state and national coverage needs across all platforms through close engagement with national and state/ territory teams
Deliver multiplatform coverage plans for significant stories
Curate and output the NT 7PM bulletin as required

Job Requirements:

Ability to commission content for digital, mobile and social platforms
Understanding of news room production workflows
Experience using audience data for insights and the latest trends in audience behaviour
Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills
Proven experience leading a team in a fast paced-news environment
